Our strawberry varieties
There are a multitude of strawberry varieties, including summer strawberries and autumn strawberries. They are distinguished by several criteria: taste, color, shape, flesh, firmness, size, and shelf life.
Autumn strawberries, or day-neutral strawberries, only have a single year of life. They are planted very early in spring and harvested three months later, and they require a lot of attention. To achieve a good harvest of autumn strawberries, no failures must occur throughout their growth.
Short-day strawberries
CLÉRY (END OF MAY TO END OF JUNE)
This early variety was developed in Italy and boasts exceptional firmness and shine. Brilliant and carmine red in color, the Cléry is quite large and conical in shape. With medium-firm flesh, this strawberry has a very aromatic, sweet flavor. It can be enjoyed both raw and cooked.
YAMBU (LATE MAY TO END JUNE)
Yambu is an early, mid-season strawberry variety. The fruits are bright red, attractive, uniformly shaped, and glossy. The flavor is excellent with a very sweet aftertaste.
MALWINA (LATE JUNE TO END JULY)
This strawberry is one of the latest short-day varieties in our province. Rather dark in color, it has a pronounced flavor and is surprisingly large. Finally, Malwina provides a gateway to day-neutral fall strawberries.

SEASCAPE (JUNE TO OCTOBER)
Everyone’s favorite is this beautiful, medium-to-large autumn strawberry. It’s known for being plump, juicy, sweet, and a vibrant, vibrant red. It can be enjoyed fresh from the harvest or enjoyed in a chocolate fondue.
ALBION (JUNE TO OCTOBER)
This beautiful, firm strawberry is best known for its size and tantalizing aroma. Due to its low yield, it is not available for pick-your-own.
MURANO (JUNE TO OCTOBER)
This European strawberry boasts a magnificent radiant red color and is very flavorful. With its normal, conical shape, it is very attractive and consistently large in size.

Nutritional values
Not only is FraiseBec delicious, but it also helps prevent cardiovascular disease and certain forms of cancer, as well as slow the effects of aging. Not bad for such a small fruit!
Even in jam, strawberries retain their antioxidant properties: although cooking reduces the effect of flavonoids, the weakening of the cellular structure of canned fruits allows your body to use the antioxidants more easily.

Conservation
Enjoy them even longer
1. After picking, it’s best to refrigerate strawberries as soon as possible in the fruit drawer or a cool place. They’ll stay fresher longer!
2. As with all berries, they should be eaten quickly.
3. Rinse strawberries with water just before eating.

Freezing
For longer storage, you can simply sweeten or freeze strawberries. The best freezing method is to spread the strawberries on a tray covered with aluminum foil and place them in the freezer for 3 hours. Then place them in tightly sealed dishes or plastic bags. This will help them keep their shape for decorating your desserts.
And what about raspberries? The same advice applies.
By following these tips, it’s worth picking even more of our berries!
