FRAISEBEC Breakfast Smoothie
Ingredients
- 125 ml (½ cup) of fresh FraiseBec strawberries cut in half
- 125 ml (½ cup) of frozen mango cubes
- 125 ml (½ cup) of plain enriched soy beverage
- 100 g (1 small individual content) of 2% coconut Greek yogurt
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) of oat bran
Preparation
- Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour in a glass and drink with a straw.
Variants
- If you don’t have soy beverage, use cow milk.
- Coconut soy tofu can replace Greek yogurt in this recipe.
- You can also use another flavour of yogurt.
- For extra omega-3, replace oat bran with ground flaxseeds.
- For a more liquid consistency, add a bit of water or more soy beverage.
Nutritional Advice
- To be more nutritious and balanced, a breakfast must include three of the four food groups.
- If you have difficulty eating breakfast, a solution would be to make a smoothie and drink it on your way to work.
- Those who have a big appetite in the morning can eat a homemade muffin with their breakfast.
